background

background

I work at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and applied economics. My background spans econometrics, data science, and game theory, and I have spent the last decade leading commercial strategy and analytics for large energy and retail enterprises. My focus is on applying quantitative and economic tools to real decisions: pricing, margin optimization, risk management, and capital allocation.

My work often involves designing experiments, building models, and partnering directly with business leaders to clarify trade-offs and navigate uncertainty. I am deeply embedded in the business and concentrate on translating complex data into clear, defensible decisions that drive performance and long-term value.

I also teach at the University of Tennessee, where I cover corporate strategy in the MBA program and undergraduate econometrics. My teaching bridges theory and practice, connecting the classroom to the real strategic and analytical challenges companies face every day.

background

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University, where I studied Economics and Computer Information Technology, followed by a master’s degree in Applied Econometrics. I later completed additional graduate work at the University of Tennessee, earning a second master’s degree and reaching ABD status in the PhD program in Economics. I hold a Doctorate in Business Administration from Drexel University.

My dissertation, Profit Maximization with Price Discounts and In-Kind Rewards, examined how firms use incentives to influence purchasing behavior.

My academic and research interests include applied econometrics, price optimization, optimization methods, consumer behavior, and decision theory.
