background

background

I work at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and applied research. My background is in econometrics, data science, and game theory, and I’ve spent the last several years leading commercial analytics for a multibillion-dollar energy and retail company. I focus on applying quantitative tools to real-world decisions—pricing, margin optimization, risk management, and capital allocation. That often means designing experiments, building models, and working directly with business leaders to clarify trade-offs and navigate uncertainty. My role is hands-on and embedded in the business, with an emphasis on translating complex data into clear, defensible decisions that move the company forward.

I also teach at the University of Tennessee, where I cover corporate strategy in the MBA program and undergraduate econometrics. I aim to bridge theory and practice—connecting the classroom to the kinds of strategic and analytical decisions companies face every day.

background

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University, where I studied Economics and Computer Information Technology, followed by a master’s in Applied Econometrics. I later completed additional graduate work at the University of Tennessee, earning a second master’s and reaching ABD status in the PhD program in Economics. I hold a Doctorate in Business Administration from Drexel University. My dissertation, Profit Maximization with Price Discounts and In-Kind Rewards, explores how firms use incentives to shape purchasing behavior.

My research interests include applied econometrics, price optimization, optimization methods, consumer behavior, and decision theory.
